background

The Volleyball Nations League is an official volleyball competition that brings together the sixteen best national teams in the world every year. Along with its predecessor, the World League, this recurring tournament has existed for over 30 years in both genres.

The men's edition of the VNL 2023 will be played in two parts. The first part will be played in a group phase of 8 teams over 3 weeks:

  • Stage 1: 6-12 June 2023 in Canada and Japan.
  • Stage 2: From 20 to 25 June 2023 in France and the Netherlands.
  • Stage 3: From 4 to 10 July 2023 in the USA and the Philippines.

A second "play-off" phase with the 8 qualified teams, for a "Final 8" which will take place from 19 to 23 July 2023 in Poland, and which will award the title of VNL 2023 champion. Winners in 2022 following an epic 5-set match against the Americans, France is one of the favourites to retain its title and prepare ideally for the 2023 European Championships in September.
